Jeffrey Downs was born in Vancouver. He started his journey of cultivating his passion for mastering culinary arts under some of the best Michelin-starred and awards winning kitchens around the world.
From Attica (Melbourne, Australia), Manresa Restaurant (Los Gostas, USA), Nihonryouri Ryugin (Tokyo, Japan) where he had first set foot in the fine dining industry, later joined In De Wulf (Dranouter, Belgium) in 2014 where they took home Best Restaurant in Europe and started working in Septime (Paris, France) a year later, where during his time there won San Pellegrino’s 50 best restaurants in the world.
He has now partnered up with Holt Restaurant as Head Chef in Taipei, Taiwan in June 2020.
